Enabling the New Digital Normal – Connected & Secure

Organizations are increasingly migrating their enterprise applications from on-premise data centers to Software-as-Service (SaaS)/in the cloud as they respond to the challenges of digital business. This means there is a bigger pressure to evolve their Wide Area Networks (WAN) to be more flexible and reliable to support the expanded surface and changing business needs. The rapid rise in the use of cloud applications means organizations must regularly revisit their network bandwidth requirements and reprioritise traffic.

There has been a sharp shift to strategies based around Software-defined WAN, which promises to transform the traditional WAN. SD-WAN can seamlessly combine multiple transport networks (such as MPLS, 4G, or 5G) and control edge devices through a central node that runs dynamic network path selection to improve load sharing and resilience.

At the recently concluded session on “Enabling the New Digital Normal - Connected & Secure” powered by Airtel Business and Lavelle Networks, industry leaders engaged in a discussion reflecting on the evolution of SD-WAN, the key adoption challenges, and the roadmap ahead for leading organizations. This exclusive session took place in JW Marriott, Pune on 3rd March 2022.
