Veeam: Kyndryl: Red Hat – Leaders Connect 2023, in association with CORE Media gathered industry leaders for their yearly event and concentrated on solutions for the challenging issues of today's changing business environment. Faced with shifting models that drive growth and sustainability, this year's conference aimed to provide leaders with information and strategies they need to thrive.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cloud-native applications powered by Kubernetes have emerged as the preferred choice for businesses seeking agility, resilience, and cost efficiency. As CIOs lead their organizations in building, deploying, and modernizing numerous containerized applications, a critical challenge arises in designing a robust data protection strategy while also addressing the complexities of scaling applications to meet growing customer demands. The key to successfully achieving these goals lies in selecting the right combination of security, scalability, and standardization platforms that seamlessly integrate with each other.

Anoop Mathur, Founder, CORE Media, initiated the panel discussion on ‘From Risk to Resilience: Harnessing the Power of Scalable, Secure, and Standardized Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure for Business Transformation.’ Joining him as co-hosts for the conversation were Danny Allan, Global Chief Technology Officer, Veeam Software; Sreekrishnan Venkateswaran, Vice President, CTO, Kyndryl India; and Ameeta Roy, CTO & Senior Director - Solution Architecture, Red Hat.

The session concluded that CIOs in India acknowledge growing cyber threats and complex compliance requirements, highlighting the need for AI-powered security solutions and data protection strategies across hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Effective hybrid cloud migration requires a holistic approach with clear business goals, data management strategies, and careful planning to avoid pitfalls like security neglect and mismanaging data complexity. IT leaders must prioritize data encryption, robust vulnerability management, and access controls to address critical security red flags in BFSI hybrid cloud environments.
